Digital samlilng: Sustainability from ambition to business value

How can sustainability leaders demonstrate the business value of sustainability and secure buy-in from boards, owners and markets?

This autumn, our Sustainability Leaders Network has explored this question from different perspectives. In our session with Orkla in Oslo, and the upcoming session with Drytech in Tromsø, we are looking at how companies connect sustainability with profitability, risk management and long-term value creation in practice.

In this digital session, we take the conversation one step further by looking at the broader context shaping these efforts. Robert Strand, Executive Director of the Center for Responsible Business at the Berkeley Haas School of Business and the Nordic Center at UC Berkeley, will draw on his research into responsible business and leadership in Nordic and American contexts to explore how different business environments shape the role of sustainability in corporate strategy and decision-making. He is the author of Nordic Capitalism: Lessons for Realizing Sustainable Capitalism (Cambridge University Press, March 2026), and participants will receive access to the book ahead of the session.

The presentation will be followed by a dialogue with participants, connecting these perspectives to the challenges and opportunities sustainability leaders face in their own organisations.

Deltakelse på samlingen er forbeholdt deltakere i Nettverk for bærekraftsledere med strategisk og/eller operativt ansvar for bærekraft i egen bedrift.
