With the annual CCAMLR meeting only a few weeks away, this session will bring together policymakers, scientists, civil society and industry to discuss the proposed Antarctic Peninsula Marine Protected Area and a new approach to managing the Antarctic krill fishery. 

Both proposals are currently under consideration in the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). The discussion will explore what is needed to build greater common ground, overcome remaining barriers, and create a realistic path towards progress at this year’s meeting.
